After a filling, it is normal to have tenderness in the area of injection. It is also normal to have some thermal sensitivity, sensitivity to biting down, and sensitivity to flossing as the tooth heals.
Fillings that are a result of a deep cavity will often take longer to heal. A deep filling can mean that the tooth is at risk of needing further treatment. Dr. Nantes will discuss with you if a filling was deep and what symptoms to watch for. If you should have any questions or concerns after a filling procedure, please contact our office!
